All The Best Moments
(SOE Feb Kit & Stuck?! Sketch)

There's a new Scraps of Elegance kit in town, and it's a beauty!!

... and this is my first of many projects created with it:

I was inspired by this very pretty sketch at Stuck?! Sketches

The February SOE kit is called "Garden Gala" and includes papers from
the Blue Fern Studios Serendipity collection among many other top notch products.

 Here are a few close-ups:

The kit contains this Whimsy Flourish chipboard piece from Blue Fern
as well as these tiny adorable resin flowers.

You can clearly see here the inspiration from the Stuck?! Sketch that I decided to flip.

Along with the Main kit, I used elements from these add-ons:

Magic of Winter Tag
(More Than Words Mini Challenge)

YAY! It's time for another More Than Words Mini Challenge!!

As most likely my last project for the Winter, I created a very sparkly tag
celebrating the Magic of Winter!

Have you guessed the Mini Word for February?!
The word is MAGIC and you have to include it on a card, tag or ATC
and share it on the More Than Words Facebook page
by the end of the month to be eligible to win!
Click HERE for all the details on the MAGIC Mini Challenge!!

Now let's look at my tag a bit more closely:

I created my tag from the leftovers of my Winter Wonderland layout
created for the More Than Words Main Challenge.

Hope you will play along!!

Sweet Sanctuary
(Blue Fern Studios DT Reveal 2)

This is part 2 of my Blue Fern Studios DT reveal!
For this project, I dug into some of my older papers and rediscovered this beautiful dark design from the Sanctuary collection which turned out perfect for this sweet picture mixed in with a little bit of Love Story to complete the title.

I layered some of the Tattered Diamond Bits, covered with Oatmeal embossing powder, and the gorgeous must-have Circle Flourish which I heat embossed with Garnet, then sprinkled with a little Phoenix glitter and dabbed with a little pearly shimmer paint.

A close-up from the other side...

You see below a little snippet of my backgroung stamped with the brick design from the Essential Textures Stamps set and some Cotton Candy embossing powder.

This incredible photo was given to me by a friend a couple years back.  I have a whole collection so you may see some more of the same on future projects!

Thank you for visiting!
I hope I have inspired you to check out some more Blue Fern Studios goodness!!

Contemplation
(Blue Fern Studios DT Reveal 1)

Already a month has passed by since my first DT reveal for Blue Fern Studios!
Well, it's my turn once again to be featuring some of my BFS creations on their blog.
Click right HERE to see the full reveal!!

My first layout features the whimsical and oh so pretty Serendipity Collection!

If you haven't seen this full collection yet, you have to look at this!

I used a lot of chipboard on my page mixing some brand new pieces with a few classic ones.  In the close-up below you see some Leafy Page Accent that I cut into 2 pieces, using one half to frame the Serendipity calling card and the other
is peaking out from under the photo.

Blue Fern Studios has a lot of chipboard sets that offer not just one, but numerous pieces in a set so you get much more for your money.  The Leafy Page Accents and the Ironwork Accents both seen above are just two of the many examples.
You get up to 8-9 pieces in each set!

I never tire of using butterflies on my layouts (I am shabby chic after all!) and this one is called the Brigitte Butterfly.  I covered it with  Imagine Ink Petal embossing powder.  I did the same on the Floral Lattice Bits used around my flower clusters.

Here you see 2 newer pieces that have been designed to complement the Serendipity papers, the large and majestic Swan Gate that I treated with Fuchsia embossing powder and the word 'contemplation'.  The word as well as the Leafy Page Accent were simply painted white with a faint touch of pink.

I'll be showcasing another one of my BFS projects tomorrow!

Sweet On You
(Blue Fern Studios February Sketch)

February is the month of LOVE and I have a shabby chic
Valentine-themed layout to share with you today
featuring the pretty Blush collection from Blue Fern Studios.

The inspiration for this layout was this lovely sketch from the
Blue Fern Studios February Sketch Challenge.
Click HERE to learn all about the challenge and to see my fellow DT members' creations!

I did some stamping on my background with the Essential Textures set.

On all my chipboard pieces (title Sweet On You and Bits Of Honey) I put white gesso,
then added some distress stain and added some Imagine Ink glitter, Carribean.
I then dabbed on some more white gesso to soften them up.

There are so many gorgeous images on the Blush collection papers
so I fussy cut a few of them, including those cute little butterflies from the title strips,
and popped them up with foam squares to add dimension to my page.

I have scrapbooked this picture of Yves and I several times before,
but I had another copy and I thought it would go great with these romantic papers!

I will be revealing some more creations with Blue Fern Studios goodness on the 11th!
