Candy Cane Lane Cards
(5 cards created from leftovers)

I'm on the Off the Rails Scrapbooking blog today
sharing, sadly, my last tutorial post as DT member.

I have so enjoyed my time designing for OTRS,
and I am looking forward to being able to play along
to their challenges just like you in the new year.

My tutorial this month is not really a tutorial per say.
I'm just basically sharing 5 fairly quick and easy to make cards
that I created with all these leftovers from my OTRS layout
(shared with you during the December 15th reveal), mostly all
from the fun and adorable Bo Bunny Candy Cane Lane collection.

On Card #1, I embossed the base with a snowflake design,
and hand stitched a line through the chevrons.
I realize just now while writing this that I forgot to put a sentiment,
before taking my picture.  Perhaps it doesn't need one. :P

Card #2 is so much fun with that Santa layered chipboard sticker!
As I always do, I dabbed on some white paint as a last step,
giving it a frosty snowy look.

I kept Card #3 quite simple, adding some ribbon and twine,
as well as lovely buttons also from Bo Bunny.
I didn't forget my sentiment on this one. :P

For Card #4, I distressed the edges of my papers and added some
stitching on the edge.  The trick with stitching is to do it before
sticking anything papers down on the base.  So you basically
create the front of your card without the base, you then add the stitching
and finally attach the front piece to the base when done.
The snowflake is an actual Christmas tree ornament bought from
my local Dollarstore.  There was a bunch of a pack and I thought
they would be perfect for Christmas cards!

And finally, here's Card #5, with pretty flower baubles
adorned with snowflakes and gems, hanging from a stitched
vertical line on my distressed background paper.

There you go!  A great way to use all those leftovers from my layout!

And as you can see by the staging of my photos,
I have lots of flowers left over to make more.

Check out my post at Off the Rails Scrapbooking!

Christmas Eve Creations
(Lemoncraft DT Reveal)

Happy Christmas Eve!!

I'm on the LEMONCRAFT blog on this very special day with a brand new DT reveal!

Obviously I couldn't do a reveal on Christmas Eve
without sharing some Christmas projects!

Below are 3 cards and a layout,
all created with the Lemoncraft Christmas Greetings collection.

Next is a twin set of cards, similar in style but each original in its own way:

I love the look of the Lemoncraft flair on this cards!

And I saved the best for last... a very festive layout
featuring my beautiful niece Ella, a few years ago, in front of the Christmas tree:

I love the print design on the patterned paper I used as background.
This pattern is included in the Basic pad and comes in several different colours.

I fussy cut some holly leaves and used 3D foam squares
to add a bit of depth to the vertical holly border.

Now that's one happy Noel Cutie!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my creations
as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Wishing you a wonderful Holiday season with your loved ones!

Happy Cassie Canvas
(SATW December DT Reveal)

It's the 16th of the month so time for the mid-month reveal
at SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD, so you will see below my project
inspired by the December mood board challenge that went live on the 1st!

This happy festive mood board was created by
Valia Katzaki {Greece}

Click HERE to see the project reveal of the first part of the SATW DT
and HERE to see the mid-month reveal that premiered today, including mine!

It's not hard to see from what parts of the mood board I was inspired,
mostly by lovely colours, the gold, the glitter, and lots of flowers
as well as the overall HAPPY feel of the board, hence the title of my canvas!

I added some golden flakes to my background and lots of shimmer!
My chipboard was covered with metallic paint and then covered with glitter paint.

This canvas was created as a special order from a co-worker for her niece.
I was told that Cassie was a diva who loved to dance and sing and LOVED bling!

I really hope you like my take on this SATW December mood board!

As you know, this is a very bittersweet reveal as SATW is closing and this will be my last project for this blog of which I have been a part for the last year!  I have been Guest Coordinator during my first term and then filled many roles including Assistant DT Coordinator and Sponsor Coordinator for my 2nd, and I will always be grateful to Helen Tilbury who has taught me so much on how to run a successful challenge blog! I have met many great scrappy friends with whom I know I will keep in contact for years to come and have evolved in my scrapbooking style and personal creative accomplishments
thanks to Helen and Scrap Around the World!

Do not miss out on the chance to participate in this final MEGA challenge!

Here's my project based on the mood palette,
and most inspiration the colours and the Christmas theme.

You will no doubt recognize the pretty Christmas collection
"Candy Cane Lane' from Bo Bunny.

I also used the layered chipboard from that same collection
along with different colour paper flowers also from Bo Bunny.

So many fun designs with this collection, perfect for these happy pictures
of my nieces opening their presents back in 2012!
Look at the look of sheer joy and anticipation on Daphne's face!
Priceless!

Remember to check out the rest of the mid-month inspiration

right HERE on the Off the Rails Scrapbooking blog

I will be back later on this month to share some other projects
in combination with this layout as part of my last tutorial on the OTRS blog!

My Boy
(White with 1 DT Reveal - Majorca Blue)

This month's color challenge at WHITE WITH 1 has just been revealed today!

Take a look at my 'blue' layout!

I wanted to give a denim effect to my background to go along with this adorable
picture of Tristan, my friend's son. I created it with brushing some blue denim
distress ink on my textured cardstock background, adding some subtle
stenciling and different textured stamping designs.

I embossed these chipboard stars to add polkadot texture,
covered them with distress stain and then dabbed them with white paint!

I love this colour combination!!!

A tag, some wood veneer star buttons and arrows, a couple brads
and some sparkly blue stickers, all dabbed in white, and my layout was done!

If you want to see lots more 'Majorca Blue' inspiration,

Hope you will play along!
